Summertime is the biggest blister time for me, gardening, raking etc.. It never fails! So this year, I decided to try something new. Blisters are so painful and so I wanted something that would provide fast relief but was also easy to make.
I used a mixture similar to my headache relief cream as the oils have so many different properties!
This is after just ONE application! I was very pleased with the results!
Blister Herbal Healing – All Natural Relief.
What you’ll need:
Depending on the container size you are storing this in will depend on how much of what you’ll need. I’d say about 3 drops of both lavender and tea tree to a tablespoon of coconut oil.
- Melt down the coconut oil in a double boiler. (Place a jar with the oil in it in a pan part filled with water, being careful the water does not get into the oil, medium heat until liquid – coconut oil melts very fast.)
- Add in your Lavender and Tea Tree oils and stir well.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Apply mixture to the affected area, either in liquid form or cream form. Allow it to soak in and feel the relief!
You can store the mixture in the fridge to keep from melting. (it feels great applying it cold)
Do not burst the blister. Apply the oil right on the affected area and allow it to soak in. You can bandage it up for faster relief and protection.
These are my results after just one application! I put it on once more later that day and you can’t even tell the blister was ever there! SO much better than the pain of when they burst!
