Candy Corn Chocolate Pretzel Bites

Candy Corn Chocolate Pretzel Bites

Such a fun treat to make with the kids! Sweet milk chocolate pieces, are melted onto buttery pretzel squares. Then each pretzel bite gets a fun Halloween candy corn!

Candy Corn Chocolate Pretzel Bites

These are very easy to whip up! Our 6 year old, practically made these treats (here he is on my Instagram feed). We used the butter snap square pretzels, full sized milk chocolate candy bars, and candy corn. We even made some with “monster” eyes! How cute are these little guys?

These treats came about, because, I wanted to make the ones with chocolate kisses. I kept forgetting to buy chocolate kisses, every time I was at the store. Luckily, we have lots of camp fires, and make s’mores quite often. So… I grabbed the milk chocolate bars, and made this version.

Here’s what we did:

Preheated the oven to 250 F degrees. Lined a large baking sheet with the pretzel squares. Broke off individual pieces, from the milk chocolate bars. Placed a piece of chocolate on each pretzel. Warmed the whole pan in the oven, for 4 minutes (the chocolate will look like it didn’t melt, and will still hold it’s shape.) Gently, place a candy corn, or candy eyes, on each pretzel bite. Allow the candy corn chocolate pretzel bites to completely cool and firm up. This will take about 30 minutes.

Candy Corn Chocolate Pretzel Bites – Makes 72 pieces

  • 1 (12 oz) bag butter snap pretzel squares
  • 6 full size milk chocolate candy bars
  • 1 (11 oz) bag of candy corn
  • candy eyeballs

Step One: Preheat the oven to 250 F degrees. Place 72 pretzel squares on a large baking sheet. Open a milk chocolate bar, and break off 12 pieces. Place one small chocolate rectangle onto each pretzel square. Continue with the remaining chocolate bars, and each pretzel square has a piece of chocolate.

Step Two: Place the pan in the preheated 250 F degree oven. Warm in the oven for 4 minutes. Immediately, and gently, place a candy corn on each chocolate pretzel bite (You don’t want to press down too hard). Or, place two candy eye balls on warm chocolate pretzel bites. Allow the chocolate to cool and firm up, about 30 minutes.  That’s it… Enjoy!
