137x THE ANTIOXIDANTS OF BREWED GREEN TEA
Antioxidants are essential as you age to boost your body’s natural defenses against oxidation. Researchers have found that a high level of dietary antioxidants can prevent many age-related diseases.
Triple your antioxidant absorption with Matcha.
You know that regular green tea is advised to those suffering from anxiety or
insomnia, but did you know that matcha was originally used to help Buddhist monks during
periods of intense meditation? Matcha contains much more L-Theanine, an amino acid that
promotes relaxation and well-being within the brain, than other green or black teas.
The reason matcha is slowly edging out traditional green tea in terms of health benefits is because
those who ingest matcha are consuming the entire leaf rather than brewed water. One glass of
matcha green tea is equal to 10 glasses of regular green tea as far as antioxidants and nutrients.
In fact, a 2003 study published in the Journal of Chromatography A found matcha has 137 times
more of the powerful antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) than other types of green tea.
EGCG has been proven effective in the fight against many forms of cancer, HIV, heart disease and
a host of other illnesses and diseases.
Is it safe to consume Matcha while pregnant?
It is recommended to limit caffeine intake while pregnant. Matcha is much less caffeinated than regular teas and coffee. It is recommended to limit your Matcha consumption to 2 cups a day while pregnant.
This has been a helpful product for me. I have been having a hard time gaining any motivation in the last few weeks and have been spending much time in bed. Having a warm glass of Kiss Me Organics Matcha Powder in the morning has definitely helped me gain some motivation and helped with fatigue as well. I look forward to finally getting some work done around here.
How I used this product
1. Hot Drink: Boil water. Whisk 1/2 tsp Matcha Powder to large mug, add in 1 tsp of lemon juice, 2 tsp honey.
2. Green Smoothy: 1 tsp of Matcha powder, 1 banana, 1 cup of ice, 1/2 – 1 cup coconut milk.
Both of these drinks are quite delicious. The sweeteners I added were mainly to cut through some of the strong earthy or grassy taste but if you like that then there is no need to add all the extras.
3. Matcha Bath Soak
4. Matcha Facial Mask
5. Matcha Face Cream / Spot Salve
6. Matcha Sugar Scrub

Overall, I am very pleased with this product. It’s easy to use, they provide a ton of fabulous recipes + their customer service is 5 stars. It definitely does what it says it will plus it’s certified organic. I 100% recommend Kiss Me Organics. I have enjoyed creating some beauty products using their matcha powder as well. The benefits are plentiful.
The bag is definitely worth the price. The contents are tightly packed in there + remember, the recommended dose is 1/2 – 1 tsp a day so it takes quite some time to make your way through the bag.
They included SO many recipes I didn’t know where to start (so I kind of took things into my own hands). My next project is to see about infusing it into an oil. (lip balms, face creams, etc)
Thank You Kiss Me Organics – for including The Herbal Healing Mama in your product reviews. <3
