Ok, let’s talk Brownies…These triple chocolate fudgy brownies are awesome!
Here’s a secret… These are made with white whole wheat flour. No one will ever know. I love my brownies fudgy, chewy, and full of chocolate!
Oh, and without nuts!! (I’m yelling because, I don’t think fudgy brownies need nuts! That’s a fact Jack!) My mother would disagree. She would add nuts to anything and everything. I have to draw the line with brownies. Sorry mom, you already know this. Now, if we make a turtle brownie sundae, nuts are fine to add on top. Just not baked into the brownies. Is that weird? No… didn’t think so.

Our family loves brownies and these are really, really good! I’ve been trying recipe after recipe to get a true fudgy brownie. Most of the time, they come out cake-like and that’s just not what I want. I discovered a little secret to get these brownies just the way I like them! I used, Hershey’s baking melts to get the fudgy layers in my brownies. Oh man, are they addicting! Really happy with this recipe and wanted to share it.

I was so excited to see how they turned out, I didn’t let them fully cool. Once these brownies completely cool, they have little layers of fudginess! These are the real deal on fudgy brownies. Of course, they’re delicious when still slightly warm too, like in these pictures! Enjoy a nice glass of cold milk, to go along side your plate of brownies. Ahh… Brownies!

Triple Chocolate Fudgy Brownies
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup white whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (10oz) bag semi-sweet baking melts ( I used Hershey’s)
STEP ONE: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare an 11 x 7 inch glass pan by lightly spraying with non-stick cooking spray. In a large microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and milk chocolate chips in microwave for 1 min & 30 sec. Stir to see if butter and chocolate chips are melted (if not melted put in microwave for another 30 seconds).
STEP TWO: Add the sugars to melted chocolate mixture. Whisk all together. Add the vanilla and eggs, whisk very well to incorporate. Add the flour, cocoa powder and sea salt to the bowl and mix everything again. Stir in the bag of baking melts.
STEP THREE: Pour into prepared baking dish and spread out evenly. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 – 35 minutes. Allow to completely cool on wire rack. Cut into desired size bars. They store well in an airtight container on counter for a few days, if they last that long!
Be patient and allow to fully cool before cutting into bars. If they’re still very warm the brownies will just fall apart when trying to remove from pan.
The baking melts are what give these the fudgy layers. The baking melts are bigger than chocolate chips and are just magical!
